One thing you want to keep in mind is that you must advance your skills in comprehending what you read. In fact, if you practice reading fast it could enhance your ability to comprehend what you read. While practicing speed-reading you want to sit in a comfortable position. You can picture yourself in an office sitting at a desk, thus sitting up straight with your attention completely on what you are doing.
While some people may recommend at the start that you use a timer to calculate your time reading, consequently, I am aware that timing self, places stress on the mind. With this in mind, Connie used her new discovery of herself, which she intended to work on, by adding to her plans and goals that she also would include building confidence in self. Thus, Connie added in her plans and goals that she would also work on building her confidence, while learning to speed-read.
Now, use a timer and reread the sentence. Write down what you comprehend. Write down what you can take from the sentence to help you achieve your goals in speed-reading. While reading, you can work along with the sentences while using your eyes to speed across the sentences. If you choose to read aloud, read the sentence as fast as you can while working your speech in harmony. Speaking fast while reading can help you skip through areas to read faster.
